Sometime in the course of history, things happen that shape us, define us, make us who we are. When this happens, we took a moment to reflect on what happens to our life. We take stock. We write it down and wedge it in the story about our lives.
I hope I am one of those things.
My name is Diva. I am a Chinese Indonesian born on the capital city of Indonesia, Jakarta, on 26th September years ago.
I am a lot of things. Daughter, older sister, cousin, friend, best friend, student, colleague, and stranger on the street. I also happen to be a Computer Engineering graduate from Nanyang Technological University. I currently work for the university as a Project Officer, mainly assisting the projects handled by my boss and making sure things run smoothly.
I read extensively, covering topics as mundane as the weather to things as advanced as a microprocessor manual. My favorite book is the Bible, a timeless source of truth and wisdom. My special interest are theology, philosophy, science, technology, history, literature and art. I read fiction too, especially the thriller genre and detective stories.
I love a lot of things. Rain. Thunder. Wind. The stars. Romantic things. Chocolate. Book. Good music. Good food. My family. And I love to write
I do not have any illusion that my writing is superb. I realize that my writing skill is mediocre at best, and it will, hopefully, improve as I take the journey to improve my skill. I realize that this is not an easy journey. English is not my mother tongue. Nor is my communication skill superb. But I believe that this is the one journey that I need to take to shape what little talent God has entrusted to me. I can only hope that there are people out there who are blessed through me as I take this road.
